<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Elle déclare vivre difficilement la maladie, puisqu’elle ne peut se doucher que deux fois par mois et se trouve allergique à ses propres sécrétions.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Une vie compliquée</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cette épreuve n’est pas des moindres ; la jeune femme se trouve sujette à une fatigue musculaire et des nausées. Une gorgée d’eau est inconfortable, les aliments tels que les fruits et les légumes provoquent également cette sensation avec une impression de « coupure de la langue » comme elle l’a décrite.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">À 8 ;ans, lorsque les signes de la maladie sont apparus chez Tessa, ses parents ont d’abord supposé que les éruptions cutanées étaient dues à une réaction allergique aux savons et shampoings qu’elle utilisait.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Plus tard, ils se rendirent compte que le problème n’était pas les produits appliqués, mais bien l’eau. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Étant donné la rareté de l’urticaire aquagénique, les données sur l’efficacité du traitement des personnes atteintes ne sont pas connues.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Les symptômes devenaient de plus en plus intenses avec l’âge et les comprimés contre les allergies que prenait Tessa n’étaient plus aussi efficaces. À ce propos, elle prend actuellement neuf comprimés différents par jour, espérant se soulager.</p>
